Safeguard gives you a robust configuration backup solution for all of your Meraki organizations, networks, and templates. You can now easily back up your network settings and restore them from the Boundless dashboard using the power of the Meraki API.
Once your organizations are connected to the Boundless dashboard, you can immediately create backups for your entire organization, individual networks, or templates.
Network changes are constantly monitored at intervals of between one and five minutes. Any change creates a timestamped event that you can restore at any time using Safeguard.
You can also view any backup directly from the Safeguard interface. This allows you to visually compare any configuration changes before starting the restore process.
For even more control, Safeguard lets you select either a complete restore or a partial restore. A partial restore allows you to select only the configuration or the few changed parameters.
This speeds up the restore process to minimize additional downtime that’s not required to bring the network back to a fully operational state.
Safeguard is powered by the Meraki API to provide a seamless experience. There’s no need for complicated installations or changes to your existing infrastructure.
Simply add a Meraki API key to the Boundless dashboard and connect your organizations. You can then start backing up your organization, network, and template configurations with just a few clicks.
With Safeguard’s timestamps, you can compare each full backup in side-by-side windows to determine what has changed and when. You can compare the current configuration to any backup or compare previous backups.
Timestamps also provide a visual way to review the content of a backup and find individual configuration issues.
Once you’ve specified what organizations and networks need to be backed up, Safeguard automatically monitors the system for changes and creates ongoing backups.
When needed, restorations can be done instantly or scheduled based on a predetermined time to minimize the impact on network resources or user experience.
There’s no complicated roll-out or preparation needed to instantly start securing and backing up your Meraki configurations with Safeguard.
Because Safeguard is powered by the Meraki API, you simply enter your API key to seamlessly connect your organizations to the Safeguard solution.
Once connected, you will get a list of your organizations and networks. You can choose to backup your entire organization or select specific networks or templates for backup.
Safeguard then starts the backup process and you can view the progress, timestamps, and snapshots of each backup from the intuitive interface.
That’s all there is to it. Complete disaster and misconfiguration recovery is now possible with just a few mouse clicks using Safeguard.
